After 25 years in the property industry, I know how difficult and time-consuming it can be to furnish properties to a high standard, and at the right price. I have been involved in the property market since 2000, originally as a property developer specialising in New Town renovations, office conversions, residential and new build period style houses. I have always dressed my properties to sell and had an interest in interior design. I later became involved in the Residential Lettings Market and owned a small agency in Edinburgh. It was during this period, when we were renovating properties on behalf of our landlords we realised how difficult it was to source furniture suitable for let properties.
This realisation was the inspiration behind Kit & Caboodle. Having spent years designing and sourcing the right furnishings for properties I have first hand experience of the hassle associated with the process. Also arranging and managing deliveries; building and installing furniture and then putting the finishing touches together. It’s incredibly time consuming and you also want to know that you are creating the right look for your tenants. That’s where we come in, taking away all that work and hassle so you can focus on your business.
We work with letting agents, property managers, landlords and investors in Edinburgh and the surrounding areas. We source, design the layout, deliver and install furniture and soft furnishings in your property. We also provide flooring, curtains, blinds as well as the finishing touches such as art work and rugs, ready for your marketing photographs.
We offer bespoke packages that mean we can tailor our designs and choice of furniture so it is suitable for your property and tenants. Some of our most popular packages include student lets, high end apartments and Airbnb short term holiday lets. We also supply replenishment items like mattresses, beds and other items of furniture that are old and need replacing. We also remove the old items and dispose of them. Another job taken care of!
